Festival dates | January 28-30, 2027

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFO CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION:

• This is a winter festival that takes place in OUTDOOR environments. We do our absolute best to care for and cover performers from the elements, but we don't control the weather, and we want you to understand that participating in this is a unique experience! For insight into how this event is experienced, see the 2026 recap video here.

• Performers will need to be available to play one or more of the following nights: January 28–30, 2027.

• Artists can apply to present live music, dance, storytelling, puppetry, kids' performances, installation light art, theatre, stand-up comedy, and a variety of other art forms.

• There are at least FOUR covered stages (and many more ways to perform) representing different elements of the festival: SONG, STORY, LORE, and FABLE.  We want your adaptation of these elements through performance - blow us away!

• PLEASE SHARE LIVE VIDEO. This is an in-person experiential festival, and we appreciate the opportunity to review your video offering with your submission.  Please include a live performance video with your application.

• Fire & Story provides a stipend for final artists chosen to participate that can be applied towards travel and lodging. If possible, we may be able to support with accommodation recommendations for visiting artists.

• We encourage all local, regional, national, and international artists to apply.
